Christy Musser’s Teaching Statement of Purpose

Christy Musser’s Statement of Purpose

Education is powerful and inspires change. An education has the power to transform individuals, families, communities, and the world. While teaching in Nepal in 2009, I saw the transforming ripple effects of education. Since this time, I went back to school and completed my K-8 Masters of Arts, received my ESOL (English as a Second Language), opened a tutoring businesses, and I am currently completing my masters in speech language pathology. The combination of my life experience and training informs my teaching and effective strategies to partner with families, schools, teachers, students, caregivers, and other professionals to provide individualized educational plans that compliment the learning environment of the student.

International Goal:

Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world. – Nelsa Mandela.

One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world. – Malala Yousafzai.

A part of Education Partnering’s mission is to educate women and children in developing countries. Education Partnering is committed to support Girl Rising’s effort.

Previous Educational Partnering Internationally:

“I will never forget the light that danced in the eyes of the beautiful Nepalese women and children when I shared that they would now receive an education. These precious persons were no longer forgotten and tossed away, but remembered, empowered and inspired through an education.”

– Christy Musser, 2009
