Teaching has been a life-long passion for Christy. It started in high school where she worked at a pre-school and then went onto teaching around the world. After teaching in Germany, Nepal, and the United States, Christy started Education Partnering with the goal to empower learners. She feels this in particularly critical in a season to partner with educational experts, especially when education is facing tremendous unknown change, and the demand of an education is so high worldwide. The one known fact is that students must receive high levels of education to reach their full potential.
To reach this goal, Education Partnering teams with students, families, schools, and other professionals to bring about long-lasting educational change for a learner, which is why she created Education Partnering in 2011. Partnering ensure a learner reaches their maximum potential. Her approach is through a personalized assessment, and a tutoring implementation that focuses on math, literacy, and organizational skills both mental and practical that are all child centered.
Christy’s B.A. is from Gonzaga University in broadcast journalism, her M.A.T. & ESOL credentials are from Lewis & Clark, and she currently she is completing her post baccalaureate degree for speech and language pathology at Portland State University. In the fall, she will start program to become an SLP. Additionally, she worked in medical sales from 2007-2009 and as the Vice President of Education for Rescue Humanity from 2009 to 2011.
