Pressures on Schools & Families

The current climate of schools is unsettling and in constant change. I feel that many families are left wondering: Is my child reaching their full potential? Is my child at grade level? How do I understand what is really going on my child’s classroom? What are the state standards? What are my rights in the school system

Is my child TAG (talent and gifted)? Would my child benefit from special education implementation? What can I do at home to enrich my child’s learning? What are the strengths and weakness in my child’s learning?

Families are feeling the pressure to provide the best education for their child, knowing that a quality education sets a child up for a bright future. Unfortunately, schools are going through changes that limit resources for students, for example:

class sizes are growing; teachers are under increasing federal, state, and legal pressures that scatters their attention in an array of directions; the support teams in educational systems are increasingly limited, such as TAG resources, special education resources, RTI Resources, etc.; and, schools are facing pressing demands from increasing student needs.

Additionally, families choose private schools, support is essential to ensure your child is tracking and meeting all the essential progressions of learning, and understand how to track with the state standards. Additionally, families can benefit from creative ways to enhance their child’s learning.

Families will benefit greatly by having partner with an outside educator, to ensure their child is on track for a bright future. I’m a graduate from Lewis & Clark College, and I am current in effective educational practices and research K-8.

Additionally, I’ve worked in pre-schools, taught in Germany & Nepal, and have been partnering with schools the past couple of years. I’m current in the demands of what schools are asking, what curriculums they use, the testing pressures, and world wide pressures.
